Christmas is upon us, but while it is the most joyous season in the Philippine calendar, we Filipinos have come together to help our fellowmen who were devastated by Supertyphoon Yolanda. Our friends from Waterfront Pavilion Hotel and Casino Manila have decided like the rest of the country to aid victims in this season of giving.
In an event recently held at the hotel, Waterfront Pavilion Hotel and Casino Manila lit their Christmas trees the first time this year and introduced a wishing well for typhoon victims. Guests and hotel staff can drop their donations into the wishing well until January 5, 2014.
The proceeds from the wishing well at the hotel’s lobby will be handed over to the Alagang Kapatid Foundation, Inc. (AKFI), the social responsibility arm of TV5. Their partner organization will in turn ensure the proper allocation of the funds and distribute aid to those who are in dire need, especially in the far-flung areas in the Visayas.
Waterfront Pavilion Hotel and Casino Manila is located at United Nations Avenue cor. Maria Orosa Street, Manila. For inquiries and reservations, visit www.waterfronthotels.com.ph.
