The members of Up Dharma Down surely had one heck of a holiday in the Lion City, after they were invited by our friends from YourSingapore to draw inspiration from the city-state’s sights and sounds and compose a song we Filipinos can relate to.
Aptly entitled All the Good Things, the song encapsulates “the soul and spirit” of Singapore. According to the band, “Travel is one of the most inspiring experiences for any artist, and our trip to Singapore was a journey that opened our eyes to another side of it. We’ve been to Singapore before but it was mostly for work and we always feel that it has something new to offer.”
Among what the band experienced were Haji Lane and its eclectic mix of concept stores by local artists and designers; modern Singaporean restaurants, Pidgin Kitchen Bar and 2am:dessertbar; top nightlife spots, The Mad Men Attic Bar and LeVeL33; Ferrari rides by Ultimate Drive Singapore; the Henderson Waves Bridge; and the world-renowned Gardens by the Bay.
