Uniqlo Philippines, one of the hottest clothing brands to hit the Philippine shores this year, has opened shop at The Block SM City North EDSA. Two days before the opening, they invited me to their spacious second store to check out what’s inside. Read more…
I was informed that the second store has a sales floor of approximately 1581.12 square meters, making it one of the largest tenants at SM City North EDSA. The store, as with it stores in 13 countries, showcases apparel that are highly functional and outstanding in quality. All their clothes follow the “Made for All” philosophy, too.
Like the one at the SM Mall of Asia, the store boasts of departments for men, women, and kids. By going around, I felt the warm but bright atmosphere going on—plus the Uniqlo staff were all smiles and cheerful. I’ll say it again, the stores in the Philippines are, in my opinion, better than the ones in Singapore, Hong Kong, and Malaysia.
I spent lots of time checking out the “Limited Offer” deals for us guys. At the front of the store were fleece jackets on sale for only 790 PHP. I debated for a good 10 minutes whether I need a new fleece jacket for Taiwan, but then I decided to look around first.
The fleece jackets for women were also on sale for 790 PHP, and fleece check shirts for both guys and girls were reduced to the same low price. Select graphic UT tees, which feature new designs such as the anime Bleach, were marked down to only 590 PHP.
After resisting the urge to buy fleece for travel, I saw what could be the best bargains that night—straight and slim straight jeans for guys. The price was reduced to 590 PHP, and they come in a variety of colors. I took advantage of the deal and bought three pairs easily!
The women’s department was not to be outdone with the offers—the skinny jeans were marked down to also 590 PHP, and leggings and intimates were on sale too. For the kids, meanwhile, there were items on sale for as low as 190 PHP.
Anyway, as the holidays are almost here, Uniqlo Philippines is featuring their 2012 Fall Winter Collection throughout the store. Like I mentioned on a previous post, the pieces from the collection were carefully selected to ensure that the items fit the Filipino market.
It was another fun night of shopping, and I once again went home smiling. I bet the people up in the north of Metro Manila are as excited as I am.
From Tokyo to Manila, Uniqlo Philippines is now open at the second floor of The Block SM City North EDSA. Get updates through their website, Facebook, and Twitter.
