I love Uniqlo and its heat-friendly shirts. When I was in Singapore and Hong Kong, I made sure that I drop by each Uniqlo store I see. I’m not going to those countries anytime soon, so I am very excited about Uniqlo Philippines coming finally to Manila. Read more…
Uniqlo Philippines will be opening its first store at the SM Mall of Asia come June 15, 2012, and the store will join more than a thousand stores in 12 other countries worldwide. By the way, Uniqlo is Japan’s leading specialty retailer that is designed, manufactured, and sold by Fast Retailing Co., the world’s fourth largest clothing company.
Uniqlo Philippines, even before its opening, is already creating buzz by giving away free UT merchandise and sending lucky followers to Japan with the UT Vote and Win promo.
Accessible via Facebook app, fans only need to vote for their preferred UT designs for a chance to actually win what they voted for, with 100 winners weekly. Everyone gets a chance to vote every 24 hours and receives another chance by sharing on Facebook.
What’s even more exciting is that as they surpass certain Facebook like thresholds, they are sending more pairs of fans to Japan. Four pairs will be sent if they reach 150,000 likes.
UT is Uniqlo’s way to make a statement through the philiosophy, “A T-shirt is more than just a T-shirt. It’s an expression of who you are. Where you’ve been. What you love..” Uniqlo has collaborated with global pop culture icons to create imaginative designs for self-expression. Among those in the collection are Lulu Guinness, Marvel, Metal Gear, Laura Ashley, David Lynch, Peanuts, DC Comics, Barbie, Hello Kitty, and Concord Music Group.
