Seminyak, as anyone who’s been to Bali knows, is the island’s partying hotspot. It’s home to one of the most famous beachside clubs, Potato Head, as well as other joints adjacent to it, such as KU DE TA and Woobar. Understandably, drinking (and dining) in these places can be quite pricey even by Bali standards, so I tell friends to pregame (i.e. go grab a few drinks) somewhere nearby. Staying at Montigo Resorts Seminyak, I had the chance to explore its bar and restaurant called TIIGO Seminyak.
TIIGO Seminyak is located in Montigo Resorts Seminyak along Jalan Petitenget in Seminyak. The path leading to Potato Head is just beside the resort, but TIIGO Seminyak’s drink and food prices are a fraction of what its neighbor charges.
The chill bar and restaurant offers tables by the pool and on the roadside for those who wish to people watch. The bar is always staffed by a friendly bartender who can concoct locally-inspired and classic cocktails.
Anyway, staying at the resort, I was able to try out its cuisine. Its menu consists of a mix of local, regional, and international dishes, as well as pizzas, burgers, and bar chow.
My favorites were the Balinese crispy duck, which came with urapan (vegetables) and sambal, and the beef cheek, which was so tender that it fell off the bone.
Also worth mentioning is the plate of Balinese tapas—spring rolls, dumplings, and satay—which paired well with cocktails.
Aside from lunch and dinner, the restauant also offers a buffet breakfast not only for those staying in the resort but also those coming from outside.
