Imagine yourself walking across the Waitakere Ranges in Auckland, amid stunning forests and unending coastlines. Then, before heading back to Manila, you make a stop in Cairns to tick an item off your bucket list—to explore the underwater splendor of the Great Barrier Reef. But if New Zealand and Australia feel been-there-done-that, Port Moresby in Papua New Guinea might be for you, as it remains to be among the most undiscovered travel destinations in Oceania.
The good news is, Philippine Airlines is flying to these three new places with what its President and COO Jaime Bautista calls “distinct brand of service marked by Filipino warmth, charm, and hospitality.” Soon enough, not only can our overseas workers balikbayan (return to country), but travelers may also explore Australia, New Zealand, and Papua New Guinea and vice versa.
Philippine Airlines will start its Manila-Port Moresby v/v service on October 25, 2015, flying twice weekly, while its Manila-Cairns-Auckland v/v service will commence on December 2, 2015, flying four times weekly. Even better, the airline has secured fifth freedom rights for the Cairns-Auckland v/v route, thus making hops and stopovers between the two cities possible.
Aside from the airline’s ticketing office, hotline, and website, bookings to these amazing destinations may be made through the MyPAL app, which is now available on Google Play for Android devices. The app can likewise handle mobile check-in and checking of flight status.
Philippine Airlines flies to 35 international and 29 domestic destinations. For bookings, visit www.philippineairlines.com. Also follow their Facebook and Twitter for promos and updates.
