Manila Bay provides one of the best sunset vantages, without a doubt. While what we call Baywalk already affords a nice perspective, perhaps the best way to see the dramatic sunset is on a cruise, aboard a yacht. Our friends from Legworks Events recently invited me to a Manila Bay Sunset Cruise aboard the M/Y Yrang of Realship Yachts. Read more…
Our boarding call went at around 5:00 PM to chase the sunset at its finest moments. I’ve been seeing the famous Manila Bay sunset my entire lifetime, but it mesmerizes me each time, nonetheless. And well, the experience was a lot different onboard a cool yacht.
We passed by popular landmarks along Roxas Boulevard and elsewhere, like Solaire Hotel and Casino Manila, the SM Mall of Asia, the Manila Yacht Club, and the Manila Hotel. We saw buildings and lampposts glow one by one as the night went in—it was a spectacular sight.
I went into the yacht up to the captain’s quarters, passing by an air-conditioned living area with ambient lighting and an LCD TV. But of course, I spent most of my time on the upper and lower decks, where almost everyone was at.
We docked after an hour cruising the bay, and we were met with a modest Asian-themed meal consisting of a chicken appetizer, a beef entree, and stir-fried noodles at the pavilion.
So when in Manila, add the Manila Bay Sunset Cruise by Legworks Events into your itinerary. I realized it’s definitely a must do here in our country’s capital, and I’ll be sure to bring my balikbayan relatives when they come home.
