As I write this review, I’ve already stayed twice here at Jinjiang Inn Ortigas, and I’m currently here for another three nights—clearly, I’ve grown fond of this hotel. In Metro Manila, great hotels are sadly hard to come by, but fortunately, there are gems like this that are accessible even to budget travelers.
Jinjiang Inn Ortigas is adjacent to Pearl Drive, making it ideal for travelers who do business in Ortigas CBD. As for leisure travelers, the hotel is located a few minutes away by foot from famous shopping complexes, such as SM Megamall, Shangri-La Plaza, The Podium, St. Francis Square, and Robinsons Galleria.
Jinjiang Inn is a brand under state-owned Jin Jiang Hotels, which has a strong domestic footprint in China. Here in the Philippines, the franchise of Jinjiang Inn is held by Hotel of Asia, Inc., which manages hotels in Metro Manila and Iloilo. The only Jinjiang Inn properties outside of China, by the way, are in Ortigas and Makati.
On my first visit, the reception was busy, but the staff were still graceful and friendly under pressure. Soon as my stay details and deposit were arranged, I was handed over my keys. Surprisingly, I was offered bellhop service—which clued me in that I wasn’t staying in a budget hotel—but I declined, granted I only had a small piece of luggage on hand.
I was honestly expected a budget hotel room, but as someone who has stayed in numerous hotels across the board, I can tell the hotel’s Business Room (read: standard room) wasn’t one—pretty sure it was three-star standard because of its style, size, and amenities.
Drenched in an attractive shade of cream, the room covered the basics and more, such as a comfortable bed with a nice duvet, a large LED TV, a small refrigerator, a desk, and a closet with slippers, a bathrobe, and extra pillows inside. The bathroom was immaculate, and it had a powerful shower.
We availed of breakfast on our first stay (because we didn’t want to wake early on our succeeding stays), and we had it at Five Spice. There was a mix of Filipino and Chinese dishes, and although the selection was modest, everything was tasty.

Location in Ortigas CBD is unbeatable for both business and leisure travelers.
