Great news! Jetstar Asia will fly three times weekly from Clark to Singapore starting November 28, 2017. Initially flown on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, the route will be operated by the airline’s 180-seat Airbus 320 jet.
Jetstar Asia aims to primarily serve Filipino travelers and overseas workers from Central Luzon, Northern Luzon, and Metro Manila. As well, Clark will serve as the airline’s gateway for inbound travelers who wish to explore the wonders of the regions it serves, such as Banaue Rice Terraces, Sagada, Baguio, Hundred Islands, and Ilocos. Flying via Clark—and thus bypassing Manila and its traffic jams—will certainly save travelers time in getting to these destinations.
Even better, passengers may take advantage of the Jetstar Group’s excellent connectivity at the award-winning Changi Airport in Singapore when flying into or out of Clark. The 2:20 AM departure from Singapore to Clark and the 10:40 AM arrival from Clark to Singapore allow connections to destinations like Yangon, Myanmar and Jakarta, Indonesia.
The new thrice-weekly Singapore-Clark service, which corresponds to 56,000 seats per year, is the airline’s way of supporting the efforts of the Philippine government to ease the air traffic congestion in Manila. Jetstar Asia already operates up to 19 weekly services from Manila to Singapore and up to five weekly services from Manila to Osaka in Japan, complementing Jetstar Japan’s services from Manila to Tokyo, Osaka, and Nagoya.
