Yes, it’s the turn of the South. Jamba Juice Philippines opens up its second flagship store in the lifestyle center of South—Alabang Town Center. The event was doubly special, as Jamba Juice’s CEO James White, Senior VP Global and Franchise Development Thibault De Chatellus, and International Franchise Leader Steve Miller flew all the way from California to Manila to join in on the fun during the opening. Mr. White, Mr. De Chatellus, and Jamba Juice Philippines’ Managing Director Sharon Fuentebella excitedly revealed that the Philippines, despite having only one store the past year, is currently Jamba Juice’s largest Asian market. With this, they are constantly developing and adapting new products for the country, and an expansion plan is underway.
They likewise mentioned their “pledge to goodness” or their advocacy of lobbying the use of sweet mangoes from Guimaras for Jamba Juice stores globally. Forging a partnership with the Bureau of Plant Industry-Guimaras National Mango Research and Development Center (BPI-GNMRDC), they want to support the research and development of Guimaras mangoes and empower the local mango industry as well.
During the opening, it was smoothies galore. I had my usual Strawberries Wild, and I dared try the Peanut Butter Moo’d with an Immunity boost. I equally like both now, actually.
I also got to taste their not-on-the-menu Gobble’licious turkey sandwich, which I thought was really tasty. Also served were their California Flatbread Smokehouse Chicken, sourdough parmesan pretzel, and cinnamon raisin pretzel.
Aside from all the delicious smoothies and food, Jamba Juice also had a Blender Bike, which will be inside the Alabang store year-round. And with every person finishing five minutes, Jamba Juice pledges to plant a mango tree in Guimaras, so I biked five minutes myself.
Jamba Juice’s second store is located at Alabang Town Center’s new wing The Street. Know more about Jamba Juice Philippines on Facebook and Twitter.
