Undoubtedly my scariest (but most fun) Halloween experience came last year when our friends from Universal Studios Singapore invited me to the media night of Halloween Horror Nights. As an annual tradition, they’re at it again, wanting to scare their ‘victims’ silly. For this year’s edition, they’re going local, drawing inspiration from True Singapore Ghost Stories.
Halloween Horror Nights 5 will feature four haunted houses and three scare zones. The haunted houses will be based on stories set in Singapore—paranormal sightings on the MRT, a housing block with a viral outbreak that turned residents into zombies, a hell house infested by paper effigies, and a tunnel cast in total darkness. Their equally-frightening scare zones, meanwhile, are set as a village with hungry ghosts, a quarantined area where forsaken and diseased inhabitants abound, and a city where a space probe with creepy extraterrestrial creatures crashed.
These spook-filled attractions will be complemented by the recently-reopened Battlestar Galactica: Human vs Cylon, the new Puss In Boots’ Giant Journey, and Transformers the Ride: The Ultimate 3D Battle, among others that will remain open during event nights. There will also be special screenings of Scared Shrekless at the Shrek 4D Adventure attraction.
We will be updating as we get more information, but for now, book your tickets, flights, and hotels for this October already! The first event night is slated to be on October 2, 2015.
