By some stroke of luck, we’re suddenly flying to Kuala Lumpur come next week to experience one of the biggest music events in Southeast Asia, Future Music Festival Asia 2013!
To be held March 15-16, 2013, the two-night fete will feature some of most prominent acts from the entire continent and beyond. The first night will be “A State of Trance,” where the Netherlands’ Armin van Buuren and a number of DJs will be spinning, while the following night is the bigger event of the festival.
Featured will be performances from PSY, Rita Ora, fun., Bloc Party, Temper Trap, Rudimental, DJ Fresh, Stafford Brothers, Timmy Trumpet, Tenzin, Feed Me, Kill The Noise, Zeds Dead and The Prodigy. Apart from these international acts and more, artists from Malaysia, Indonesia, Japan, Singapore, and South Korea will complete the night’s line up.
Based on an award-winning event from Australia, the Future Music Festival Asia is now on its second year, and it is said to be the kickoff for both the Malaysian Grand Prix happening the following week and Visit Malaysia Year 2014. With the production costs amounting to over 10 million Malaysian ringgit, the festival has an expected turnout of 40,000 fans.
