The Ninoy Aquino International Airport (IATA: MNL) has earned the notoriety of being one of the worst world airports based on online lists and polls. As part of their modernization plan, however, the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) has partnered up with Globe Telecom in coming up with free wi-fi internet access across all terminals of the NAIA, including the Domestic Terminal.
This partnership will benefit a huge volume of passengers, as NAIA handled more than 27 million passenger movements in 2010. As a frequent user of the NAIA myself, I am more than happy of this development, because I know that free NAIA wi-fi, especially for the most modern Terminal 3, is either not working or inexistent altogether.
The free NAIA wi-fi is powered by Globe Tattoo, which has been certified the number one broadband in the Philippines. This partnership is also in the midst of Globe’s massive $700 million modernization plan to vastly improve services and coverage.
