I’ve always wanted go to the US, and even now, I’ve been surveying what airline to ride to one of my dream destinations. I’ve been eyeing Delta Air Lines, as my relatives ride with them, but another reason to fly DL is their renovated Boeing 747’s. Read more…
I recently received word that Delta renovated their 16 Boeing 747-400 aircraft, and the good news is they are deploying these for their daily Manila-New York JFK via Tokyo-Narita and five times weekly Manila-Detroit via Nagoya services. Aside from New York-JFK, by the way, passengers may connect to eight other US destinations at their Tokyo-Narita hub.
Since it’s totally free to dream, I want to sleep on one of their 48 full-flat beds on BusinessElite. Each impressive seat now has a direct aisle access, a USB port, a LED reading lamp, and a big 15.4” widescreen video monitor that comes with hours of entertainment options. The improved experience, of course, comes with Delta’s premium service.
This change can also be felt on all of the 42 seats on their premium economy or Economy Comfort class. Seats now have an extra of up to four inches legroom for 35 full inches of seat pitch and 50 percent more recline. Plus, passengers can also enjoy priority boarding, complimentary spirits, and standard international economy class amenities, including complimentary meals, beer, wine, entertainment, blankets, and pillows.
Lastly, their Economy passengers are not left out because their overhauled seats have extra knee clearance. In addition, the seats feature an adjustable headrest, USB power, and a touchscreen on-demand entertainment system featuring the same library in BusinessElite.
For a better tour of the cabin, here’s a video of Delta’s reengineered Boeing 747’s:
I can’t wait for my dream American trip to materialize, and I’ll definitely consider Delta Air Lines with their improved Boeing 747 seats when the time comes!
