As I was staying in Angsana Lang Co, I asked our friends from the resort to tour me at their sister property, Banyan Tree Lang Co. I was eager to check it out because I’ve never been to a Banyan Tree property, let alone stay in one.
Banyan Tree Lang Co and Angsana Lang Co are adjacent to each other, and as their name suggests, they are located in Laguna Lang Co Estate in Central Vietnam, enjoying a close proximity to heritage cities Hue and Hoi An, as well as the metropolis in Da Nang.
It’s no secret that Banyan Tree Lang Co, as an all-villa resort, is more high end (and hence pricier) than its already-upmarket sister next door. The two resorts share activities, some facilities, and restaurants.
Banyan Tree hotels and resorts around the world have rightfully earned the reputation of being exclusive and ultra-luxe. There are only few of them globally—aside from China and Thailand, they’re only in Seychelles, the Maldives, Morocco, Indonesia, South Korea, and of course, Vietnam. Recently though, Banyan Tree Holdings entered a strategic partnership with hospitality giant AccorHotels, which is behind brands like Sofitel, Pullman, Raffles, and Fairmont, and these two companies are expected to expand the Banyan Tree brand.
Anyway, from Angsana Lang Co, I was taken by golf cart to the lobby of Banyan Tree Lang Co. There’s a shuttle running between the two resorts, but they aren’t too far from each other that they are actually walking distance apart.
The resort’s lobby is by no means grand—understandably so, since the resort only has 49 villas—but there’s an undoubtable air of exclusivity and a feel of opulence to it.
We first went to check out its most stupendous (and most expensive) accommodations, the Three Bedroom Seaview Hill Pool Villa. I’m not exaggerating, but my jaw dropped at how gorgeous and lavish it was. And the view was such an unexpected treat that it made me ask, “Who would’ve thought Central Vietnam had something like this?”
Next, we went to somewhere more modest yet still luxurious, the Beach Pool Villa. I thought it was perfect for honeymooners, with the private pool, gazebo, and all.
Lastly, we went to check out its restaurants, Saffron (Thai) and Azura (Italian). Both offer excellent views.
In all, I’d love to stay at Banyan Tree Lang Co in the future, given how unbelievably luxurious it is.
By the way, here’s an overview video of the resort:
