East Europe
I want to go first to Berlin and taste Currywurst, go into a beer-drinking spree in Munich during Oktoberfest, see what what life’s like in Prague, then take a hike up the Alps in Switzerland. An extensive itinerary across East Europe will cause heavy damage on my wallet, so I have to do some planning and find some cheap deals on late holidays.
Greece through Serbia
One splendid idea for a weekend getaway would be drive to Thessaloniki, Greece from Belgrade. They say it’s definitely wonderful to bask in the Mediterranean sunshine and bathe in the sea, followed by a night of partying with friendly locals until the sun rises again. Plus, history buffs like me can check out the UNESCO World Heritage sites in the city.
Istanbul, but not Constantinople
Istanbul they say is one of the cheapest European cities of its magnitude. Among the cheap thrills in the city is beer at only three dollars a pint. And what’s more is that many attractions in the city can be seen or done for free—mosques all over the city, a view from the top of the Galata tower, and a handful of other sites.
Greece, Serbia, and Istanbul—three destinations I dream to set foot into. But of course, you never know where life will take you, so who knows where I might be jetting off tomorrow?
