Last February, I received news that HotelQuickly has acquired Tonight, a similar last-minute hotel booking app, and launched in Japan. After my trip to Sapporo, I had to stay in Nagoya for a night; hence, it was the perfect opportunity to try the app for a last-minute booking.
Upon opening the HotelQuickly app, I was pleased that it offered me quite a number of options that range from standard to luxury options. Since I know that HotelQuickly vouches for each of the hotels listed, I didn’t hesitate to try one of the more affordable ones in the selection. I picked Apa Villa Hotel Nagoya Marunouchi Ekimae, which cost me 2331.95 PHP a night including taxes.
The location is perfect, as the hotel is right by a subway station. Though the room was a bit compact when compared to others elsewhere in Asia, but it was comfortable and definitely good for the price. And did I mention the hotel has a complimentary onsen (hot spring) at the top floor?
HOTELQUICKLY IN JAPAN
From 400 hotels and three cities offered during the app’s Japanese debut, the figures have now ballooned to almost 1500 hotels in 34 cities and counting. And the good news is that it has plenty of hotels in cities that Filipinos frequent like Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, and Fukuoka.
Other cities where HotelQuickly has partners are Atami, Beppu, Chiba, Furano, Hakodate, Hakone, Hakuba, Hamamatsu, Himeji, Hiroshima, Kagoshima, Kanazawa, Kobe, Kumamoto, Kyoto, Matsuyama, Miyazaki, Nagano, Nagasaki, Narita, Nikko, Okayama, Okinawa, Otaru, Sapporo, Sasebo, Sendai, Takayama, Urayasu, and Yokohama.
HotelQuickly, which recently got a new look, is the leading last-minute hotel booking app in Asia-Pacific, offering unbeatable discounted hotel rates within a seven-day booking window. It currently has some 12,000 hotels in 250 destinations in 16 Asia-Pacific countries, including the Philippines. It’s downloadable for free on Google Play and iTunes App Store.
